Thank Goodness for Major Allergen Free Desserts!!!
}

Is it a sniffle or a cold?  Is it the flu or is it an…..ALLERGY???? My sister grew up with horrible allergies that got her out of gardening.  She was never able to enjoy chocolate or dairy, or own a puppy. On the other hand, I was fine.  I could climb trees and was lucky enough to weed in the garden with just the mosquitos to keep me company.

However, years down the road I subtly developed a dry cough, then an annoying sniffle and then sneezing at the first hint of an irritable allergen.  I would swear that I was not sick – yet pets made me cough, dairy made me sniffle, and flowers made me sneeze. I can sit on a sofa and in seconds tell you what the cushions are stuffed with, and I can take two bites of a cookie and be able to tell you whether it is or isn’t dairy free.

I am in my mid-forties and my allergies are just now coming into full bloom. I kid you not, as my family and friends will attest to my coughing, sneezing and sniffling. Up until a few years ago, I have to admit that the major allergen free movement was not on my radar.  Today, as co-founder of The Piping Gourmets I am amazed by how many people share my simple story in one way or another. Consumers are thrilled to see we have brought to market our Whoopie Pies by The Piping Gourmets. They can now share their love of dessert with the confidence that their indulgence is major allergen free! No, nada, zero, zilch – gluten, wheat, soy, egg,  tree nuts or peanuts!
